Needlepoint is a type of embroidery that involves stitching patterns or designs onto a stiff, open-weave canvas using a needle and thread, covering the entire canvas with simple diagonal stitches. During this class, you will learn to create a needlepoint panel with your choice of initial and colors. When complete, you'll learn how to perfectly install this panel in a wallet (designed to display needlepoint) that you can carry or give as a gift. All supplies are included. No previous experience is required.

Designed for beginners, this two-session class will give you the essential techniques and skills to begin your crochet journey. The class meets on Saturdays (November 2 and 16) from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Marilyn Isaacs, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, will lead you through learning the basic finger weaving process while making a key chain. Once the key chain is complete you will move into making a belt or long strap for a tote bag, choosing your own color palette.
