In this class, you will learn how to weave on a flower loom called SUPER FLOR, because you can make a wide variety of designs. You will learn how to make loose flowers for decoration and how to join flowers to make a large piece of fabric.
SUPPLIES:
All supplies will be provided. Students will have the option of purchasing the loom.
PREREQUISITES:
No previous experience is required.
INSTRUCTOR:
Viviana Jacqueline Canepa is a weaver from Argentina, who does business under the name Jaky Telar ("telar" is the Spanish word for "loom"). Jaky's mother, sister, and nephew are all Americans, living in Buffalo. With support from Stitch Buffalo and our customers, Jaky is traveling to Buffalo in March to visit her mother, who is no longer able to travel due to health issues. While here, she will also lead classes in traditional Argentinian weaving techniques at Stitch Buffalo.
