Important Announcement
〰️
Important Announcement 〰️
We are currently CLOSED to supply donations.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are bursting at the seams with supplies that will take our artists and patrons through the holiday season in abundance! We are taking some time to regroup and focus on retail sales during this very busy time of year.
We will resume accepting donations on 1/7/25.
Donations of 1–2 Bags Boxes—Wednesday Walk-In Hours: 10:00AM – 6:00PM
Larger Donations—By appointment. Please contact us at (716) 370-0079
Each Year, We Collect Over 15,000 Pounds of Donated Materials When you drop off your donations, our Second Stitch team weighs and then sorts your supplies for use in our programs. Items are first considered for use by artisans in the Refugee Women’s Workshop. We then decide if we can use your supplies for our community education classes, or for resale within the Second Stitch retail space.
How Do I Make My Donation?
Review our list of accepted items (below). Please do not include items we do not currently accept.
Sort your supplies by type. This helps volunteers efficiently sort donations.

For larger donations, make an appointment with our Second Stitch Manager by phone at (716) 370-0079 or email at whitneyc@stitchbuffalo.org. Please note: Depending on demand, it may take 1–3 weeks to schedule an appointment.

Second Stitch is the name we give to Stitch Buffalo’s sustainability program—because we give a second life to donated textile art supplies no longer needed by other artists, crafters, and businesses. These supplies are integral to creating the products in the Refugee Women’s Workshop, and they are used as the basis for all of our classes and kits. Any items we can’t use directly in Stitch Buffalo projects are are offered to the community at substantial discounts. All proceeds go directly to sustaining Stitch Buffalo programming.
