Join us and learn the Punch Needle style of Rug Hooking! Punch Needle art is a form of rug hooking that uses a large needle-like tool to punch loops of yarn into your chosen fabric.  When you learn the Punch Needle style of Rug Hooking you will be able to create many versatile projects such as cushions, wall hangings and so much more. Your registration includes class instructions ($50) and a beginner punch-needle kit to keep ($20), including: one punch needle tool; one hoop; two pieces of monks cloth; and a variety of yarns.  The kit has everything needed to create two punch needle projects.  

SKILLS REQUIRED:
No previous experience is required.

INSTRUCTOR:
Janet Nye Vedder is a graphic artist, product illustrator, and art educator. She holds a B.S. in Art Education and a Masters in Art Education. Now retired after teaching art for over twenty years, she is currently enjoying teaching online and in-person art classes on the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora, Springville Center for the Arts, and View Arts Center in Old Forge, New York. Janet is also a Roycroft Campus Artist-in-Residence, member of the Castiglia Art Center, and founder of the Roycroft Campus Art and Fiber Group.
