Knitting 102: Simple Shawl—Wednesdays, June 5, 12, 19, 26 (4:30–6:30pm)
Take your basic skills and elevate the knit stitch into this beautiful shawl. We will use the knit stitch, a basic cast-on and bind-off, increasing, decreasing, and an I-cord edge. If a shawl feels a bit adventurous, we can adapt the same shape into a smaller, narrower scarf. Students can choose to use one color yarn or two.
REQUIREMENTS:
Be comfortable with the knit stitch
INSTRUCTOR:
Christine Walker is a CYC Certified Knitting Instructor with over 20 years of experience knitting. Taught by her grandmother at age 34, Christine has fallen in love with fiber and the luxury of knitting garments and accessories for herself and for others as gifts. She is constantly learning and improving her skills. Her grandmother certainly would be proud! In 2019, Christine started PeaceTree Fiber Adventures and hosts knitting retreats around the world.
