Hand-Embroidered Scarf with Mirror Work Scarf Fazlia
Mirror embroidery is a needlework technique that involves hand stitching mirrors in a framework of thread mesh. The style dates back to the 1700s and is used throughout South Asia from from Afghanistan through Western India.
Each of our hand-stitched scarves scarves is one of a kind—as individual as the woman who made it. Each is lovingly crafted in our studio or in the home of a resettled refugee woman from Buffalo, NY.
