We're big believers that collaboration makes us stronger and more creative, both as individuals and as cultures. Our new line of cross-body bags are a perfect example! These signature pieces began with traditional Burmese woven cloth in a variety of colors. They are then completed with colorful hand-embroidery by members of the Refugee Women's Workshop who came to Buffalo from Afghanistan. As you can see, the traditional techniques and motifs from the Afghani culture combine beautifully with this traditional Burmese textile.
