Learn how to repair and beautify your favorite denim garments through visible mending techniques and stitched words. Cheri and Muna are the perfect pair to teach you how to elevate and prolong the lifespan of your clothing. Enjoy choosing fabric patches from our wide range of unique fabrics as well as learning how to prepare words or quotes for embroidery. Please bring your own denim (or similar sturdy fabric) garment—such as jeans, a jean skirt, or a jean jacket.
INSTRUCTORS:
Cheri Vogelbaum is a textile artist and staff member at Stitch Buffalo. Munawara Sultana (originally from Pakistan) is a skilled tailor, textile artist, and member of the Refugee Women’s Workshop at Stitch Buffalo.

Stitch Buffalo is committed to fostering sustainability practices and reducing waste in the textile industry. In this workshop, we will strive to minimize waste by mending damaged garments to prolong their lifespans and by working with supplies that have been rescued for reuse.
