Knitting in the Round—July 17, 24, 31, and August 7 (4:30–6:30pm)
In this four-week session we will explore hat making. Students will choose from three different hat patterns (or make more than one if you like!) that we will work on each class. The hat patterns will include a variety of techniques as well as options such to explore colorwork and creating textures that will keep you engaged. Keeping it simple with a plain hat is also an option!
We will cover:
Reading a pattern
Knitting in the round
Magic loop vs. double-pointed needles
Casting on and finishing techniques
Colorwork and creating texture
Pom-poms
