Argentinian weaver Viviana Jacqueline Canepa will teach you how to use the Aztec loom and a Chimuelo loom, using basic stitches. You will make a small sample with the Aztec loom, and a neck warmer or short scarf with the Chimuelo loom. You will learn how to finish the ends on both projects.

SUPPLIES:
All supplies will be provided. Students will have the option of purchasing the loom.

PREREQUISITES:
No previous experience is required.

INSTRUCTOR:
Viviana Jacqueline Canepa is a weaver from Argentina, who does business under the name Jaky Telar ("telar" is the Spanish word for "loom"). Jaky's mother, sister, and nephew are all Americans, living in Buffalo. With support from Stitch Buffalo and our customers, Jaky is traveling to Buffalo in March to visit her mother, who is no longer able to travel due to health issues. While here, she will also lead classes in traditional Argentinian weaving techniques at Stitch Buffalo.
