In this session, students will learn how to modify the existing shirt structure and convert it into a wrap top. Along the way, you will learn skills such as measuring, draping, marking, and creating/applying seam binding.

SKILL LEVEL—Confident/Advanced Beginner
This class is designed for students who have made multiple projects with a sewing machine within the last few years. (NOTE: This class is not well suited for absolute beginners or those with little or no sewing machine experience.)

WHAT TO BRING:
Bring in one oversized button-down shirt made from a woven (non-stretch) fabric.

INSTRUCTOR:
Michelle Frick has been sewing clothes for herself and others for decades. Her passion is supporting new and experienced sewists in the creation of beautiful, comfortable clothes that fit as great as they look. Over the last two years, Michelle has been working as a garment sewing instructor and has been immersed in research on the latest techniques and methods, including CAD pattern drafting, projector sewing, and sustainable sewing practices both in the home sewing and commercial fashion industries.
