Confidently tackling projects with zippers can be a huge challenge as we build our sewing skills. In this class, Shantell Reid will walk you through the fundamentals of different types of zippers, installation techniques, and how to choose the right zipper/technique for your project.
INSTRUCTOR:
Shantell Reid (PhD) is an Assistant Professor in the Fashion and Textile Technology department at Buffalo State College.
SUSTAINABILITY:
Stitch Buffalo is committed to fostering sustainability practices and reducing waste in the textile industry. In this workshop, we will strive to minimize waste and will work with fabric, thread, and other supplies that have been rescued for reuse. We will also create a project that can be re-used and replace disposable gift bags/wraps.
