Ready to feel like a kid again? Join us for the grown-up version of our kids’ camp and make one-of-a-kind holiday gifts for your family and friends! Adults of all skill levels, are invited to join us for a day of hands-on activities in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
You’ll learn to make:
• Macrame bracelet
• Indigo dyed t-shirt* (or other small item)
• Peace garland
• Block printed tea towel
*Note: Bring a 100% cotton, white t-shirt that will fit you gift recipient. Otherwise, we’ll have other small items here you can choose from to make your dyed project.
This class will be led by Dawne Hoeg, the founder and executive director of Stitch Buffalo. She is an experienced instructor who served as the handwork teacher at the Aurora Waldorf School and taught in the Textile and Fiber Arts Design Department at Buffalo State College. She will be assisted by skilled volunteers with strong teaching experience, and artists from the Refugee Women’s Workshop.
Snacks and beverages will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring lunch and can use our fridge.
