Learn to create a classic kiss-clasp frame bag. You can design yours as a coin purse (seen in photo); this size doubles well as a phone-charger or ear-buds holder. If you prefer, you can make an elongated version to use as an eyeglass case or pencil holder. The choice is yours! These bags are useful to keep yourself organized, or they make a thoughtful hand-made gift.
This class is best suited for students who have completed our four-week beginner sewing class or have equivalent experience (basic sewing machine skills and have previously completed a few simple projects).
Skills:
• color and print mixing for the exterior and lining fabrics
• tracing and cutting a simple pattern
• adding interfacing for stability
• basic sewing with consistent seam allowances
• creating a fully lined bag
• hand stitching to attach a frame

• As much as possible, each student will have their own work space. Some classes require the use of shared workstations, such as ironing boards and cutting tables.

• If weather permits, doors and windows will be open to improve air circulation
• If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. You may contact us to make arrangements for credit on a future class enrollment.
