The practice of beadwork goes back several thousand years; it is frequently seen on the ceremonial clothing and robes found in archeological sites throughout Europe, Africa, and the Americas. This beginner bead embroidery class will teach you the fundamentals of a traditional needlework practice.
Students will receive step-by-step instructions on several basic stitches and complete a key chain by the end of the four-hour class. Two colorways will be available to choose from. No prior experience is necessary.
MATERIALS FEE—$20
At the start of class, you will need to purchase a supply kit from the instructor. The cost of this kit is $20 and it will include key chain, beads, beading medium, Ultrasuede, needle, and thread.
WHAT TO BRING
Students are strongly advised to bring magnification (reading) glasses and scissors. The instructor will provide all other needed items for your use during the session.
